The Creche Management Committee (CMC) is formed to ensure the effective functioning of creche centres through active community participation. It plays a key role in addressing operational challenges and strengthening the overall management of the centres. The committee comprises parents or guardians of enrolled children, creche caregivers, and Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), ASHA workers, members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) representatives, and other interested community members.
The committee meets every month to review creche operations. During these meetings, members discuss the progress of the centres, operational issues, and the health and development of children. The committee also promotes community participation, builds a common understanding among stakeholders, and ensures that parents and children regularly attend Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Days (VHSND) and immunization sessions
