Reducing anaemia among adolescents is a key objective of the Tarakki Project, and Agragami India has been promoting awareness on nutrition, iron-rich diets, and healthy lifestyles through adolescent club meetings, trainings, sports, and yoga activities. To assess the anaemia status of adolescents and support evidence-based interventions, Agragami India, in collaboration with Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK) and Karuna-Shechen, Bodh Gaya, organized a one-day Anaemia Health Check-up Camp on 9 June 2026 at the Sudha Milk Collection Centre, Basadhi Village. The camp aimed to provide haemoglobin and blood group testing services to adolescent club members and was supported by SBI Foundation through coordination with Karuna-Shechen, which provided the medical team and testing kits. A total of 69 participants, including 50 adolescent girls, 10 adolescent boys, and 9 parents, underwent blood testing. The programme was inaugurated by representatives from Agragami India, NBJK, SBI Foundation, Karuna-Shechen, and community members. During the event, adolescents and parents were sensitized on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and management of anaemia and encouraged to undergo regular haemoglobin testing. The initiative was highly appreciated by the community, as it brought essential health screening services directly to the village and contributed to improving awareness and early detection of anaemia among adolescents.
