As part of Independence Day 2026 celebrations, Agragami India’s Tarrakki Clubs organized a youth-led plantation campaign, “Ek Ped Desh Ke Naam” (One Tree for the Nation), across all seven intervention villages of Basadhi Panchayat, Bodhgaya. The campaign promoted environmental responsibility, green cover and meaningful adolescent participation in community action. A total of 276 adolescents, including 187 girls and 89 boys, participated and planted 22 saplings of Pipal, Bargad, Jamun and Neem. The activity provided adolescents with opportunities to demonstrate leadership, teamwork, decision-making and community responsibility while promoting environmental stewardship. By linking Independence Day with environmental protection, the campaign conveyed the messages “One Tree for the Nation” and “Plant Trees, Protect the Environment.”The initiative strengthened adolescents’ sense of responsible citizenship and encouraged collective action for community well-being. Overall, the campaign reflected the Tarrakki Project’s approach of empowering adolescents to lead meaningful social action and contribute positively to their communities and the environment.
