As part of the Tarakki Project, adolescent members of Clubs No. 50 and 52 of Agragami India demonstrated exemplary community leadership by supporting the Village Health, Sanitation and Nutrition Day (VHSND) held in Narkatiya village on 31 July 2026. Serving as community volunteers, the adolescents worked closely with the ANM and ASHA to mobilize beneficiaries through door-to-door visits using the due list. They also counseled pregnant and lactating mothers on the importance of a balanced and nutritious diet for improving maternal and child health.
Their dedicated efforts significantly enhanced community participation in the VHSND, resulting in 8 infants receiving routine immunization, 4 pregnant women receiving Tetanus Toxoid (TT) vaccination, and 8 adolescent girls receiving Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td) vaccination. This initiative highlights the transformative role of empowered adolescents in strengthening community health systems, promoting positive health-seeking behaviour, and supporting government health programmes through meaningful civic engagement.
