A two-day training programme on scientific goat rearing was successfully conducted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Manpur, by Dr. Anil Kumar Ravi, Dr. Rashami Priyadarshi, Dr. Farhana Khatoon, and Dr. Manoj Kumar Roy.
A total of 24 participants, including 12 Pashu Sakhis, 8 project staff members, and 4 farmers, attended the training. Dr. Rashami Priyadarshi conducted a session on Azolla cultivation, while Dr. Farhana Khatoon shared practical knowledge and experiences related to kitchen gardening and terrace gardening. Dr. Anil Kumar Ravi delivered a session on the scientific management of goats, covering improved practices for goat rearing.
At the conclusion of the programme, Dr. Manoj Kumar Roy, In-charge of KVK, Manpur, distributed certificates to the participants. The training enhanced the knowledge and skills of the Agragami team, Pashu Sakhis, and farmers, enabling them to adopt improved livestock management and sustainable agricultural practices in their communities.
