On the occasion of World Clean-up Day, Agragami India, under the UDAY Project supported by HCLFoundation, organized four interactive group discussion sessions across four of the six intervention locations, engaging a total of 125 participants.
The sessions focused on the importance of personal and household hygiene, responsible waste management, waste segregation, reducing single-use plastic, and keeping the surrounding environment clean. The objective was to inspire communities to make cleanliness a daily habit, manage waste responsibly, reduce plastic use, and work together to create a clean, healthy and sustainable environment.
A special moment was witnessed in Bahlolpur, where children enthusiastically demonstrated the steps of proper handwashing. Their parents appreciated and encouraged the children to actively participate in the session, making the discussion more engaging and meaningful.
The sessions concluded with all participants taking a cleanliness pledge, committing themselves to adopt the learnings and incorporate healthy cleanliness practices into their daily routines.
