On the occasion of Janmashtami on 4 September 2026, Agragami India Tarrakki Club members organized an awareness campaign in Basadhi village under the Action Project to sensitize adolescents, parents and community members on preventing child marriage, early childbearing and gender discrimination. The campaign used an innovative role-play of Lord Shri Krishna and Radha to communicate positive messages on delaying marriage, preventing early pregnancy, promoting gender equality and encouraging adolescents to raise their voices against harmful practices. Before the rally, the Program Manager briefed adolescents on adopting positive practices, participating actively in family and community life, and seeking support when needed. The rally was flagged off by Ward Member Mr. Ranjeet Prasad Gupta, who encouraged adolescents to follow the messages and speak up against harmful social practices. A total of 41 participants participated, including 32 adolescents (23 girls and 9 boys), 7 mothers and 2 fathers, along with community members and parents. The campaign received appreciation from the community, and parents suggested organizing similar awareness activities monthly to strengthen community awareness and collective action. The event successfully promoted adolescent leadership, participation and community dialogue on creating a safe, equitable and supportive environment.
