Monthly growth monitoring across 40 Creche Centers under the Creche Initiative Project is contributing to healthier growth and improved development among young children. As of June 2026, a total of 834 children were enrolled, of whom 695 (83.3%) underwent growth assessments.
The assessments identified 240 children (34.5%) with severe undernutrition, 99 children (14.2%) with moderate undernutrition, and 356 children (51.2%) with normal nutritional status.
Follow-up assessments conducted in July 2026 showed encouraging progress. The number of severely undernourished children declined significantly from 240 to 89 (12.8%). Many children transitioned from the severe to the moderate category, resulting in an increase in moderately undernourished children from 99 to 220 (31.6%), reflecting positive recovery. At the same time, the number of children with normal nutritional status increased from 356 to 386 (55.5%).
These encouraging results demonstrate the effectiveness of regular growth monitoring, timely nutritional interventions, and continuous follow-up in identifying at-risk children early and supporting their journey towards healthier growth and development.
