The Creche Project has successfully established 40 Creche Centers in its first year, expanding access to quality childcare services for vulnerable children and working families. Despite challenges such as last-minute withdrawal of consent by landlords and delays caused by labour shortages, the project team, with strong community support and local coordination, ensured the timely operationalization of all centers.
The initiative has enrolled 924 children, with an average daily attendance of 74 %. Among 36 children identified with Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), 25 have shown improvement through regular care and nutrition support. Community engagement remained strong, with 155 Mata Samiti meetings and 43 Gram Sabha meetings conducted and reaching 1,207 households. The programme serves the communities, including 56.7 % Scheduled Caste and 43.3 % Other Backward Class households.
