Agragami India’s Tarakki Project celebrated National Girl Child Day on 24 January 2026 at the Project Office, Silaunja, with active participation from 40 adolescent girls, community stakeholders, and local representatives, including the Deputy Mukhiya, Panch, Ward Members, teachers, Anganwadi and ASHA workers, along with the Agragami India team. The event aimed to promote girl child empowerment and gender equality by raising awareness on issues such as gender discrimination, violence against girls and women, dowry, child marriage, and misuse of mobile phones. Key activities included an inaugural address emphasizing collective responsibility toward girls’ education and empowerment, a powerful nukkad natak performed by adolescent club members, and inspiring speeches by adolescent girls sharing their learning and confidence gained through the project. The program concluded with prize distribution to encourage participation and recognize talent. Overall, the celebration successfully strengthened community awareness, amplified girls’ voices, and reinforced Agragami India’s commitment to adolescent development and gender equity.
