To make adolescent club members aware of the facilities and services available at the Adolescent Friendly Health Clinic (AFHC) at the Community Health Centre, Bodhgaya, Agragami India organized an exposure visit for them. The visit aimed to help adolescents become familiar with the counsellor and understand the importance of counselling services.
A total 75 adolescents (one elected representative from each club: 18 boys and 57 girls) visited and met individually with the counsellor and learned about adolescent health services.
In addition, the adolescent representative group met with the Medical Officer-In-Charge (MOIC) and submitted a recommendation letter requesting the provision of Td vaccines at VHSND session sites and WIFS tablets for their schools. The MOIC appreciated the group for their initiative and assured them of support as far as possible.
Finally, all adolescents observed various health services, including the registration system, OPD, laboratories, operation theatre, and wards.
