On the occasion of World Immunization Day, Agragami India, with the support of the HCL Foundation under the Uday Project in Noida, organized an awareness program at the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Barola.The primary objective of the program was to raise awareness among mothers about the importance of timely and complete immunization for children under five years of age.
During the session, Dr. Gunjan, MOIC at PHC Barola, shared her valuable insights with the mothers and encouraged them to visit the health facility regularly to ensure their children receive all vaccines on time. She also emphasized the importance of proper nutrition, breastfeeding, and regular monitoring of the child’s weight to support healthy growth and development.
The Agragami India project team conducted weight monitoring of the children and educated mothers on how to track their child’s growth according to age using the immunization card.
A total of 48 mothers and their children participated in the session, along with 4 ASHA workers, 2 ANMs, 1 staff nurse, and the MOIC. The event successfully highlighted the critical role of immunization and maternal awareness in ensuring a healthy future for every child.
